It's close to a 5 for me. Easily one of my favourite Floyd albums. I like it almost as much as WYWH these days.

San Tropez is pretty bad too though

I wouldn't say San Tropez it's bad, it's actually a fairly enjoyable track imo, although obviously one of the two weaker tracks on the album.
Seamus is ok too in the context of the album. I like it's laid back feel and how it acts like the calm before the storm (the storm being Echoes of course).

Yeah I've started to enjoy Seamus a bit more since someone (think it was you Jamie) told me to think of it that way, the calm before the storm. It's still subpar by Floyd standards though.
As for San Tropez though, what happened with the lyrics there, Roger?

Album is close to a 5.

Yeah the lyrics in San Tropez are far from Roger's best.

That's putting it lightly, even Let There Be More Light has better lyrics just from the randomness of them. San Tropez also doesn't have much in the way of a good melody although Rick does a great job with the piano in that song I have to say.
|
| |
Thinking about it San Tropez probably stands as the odd one out more than Seamus, it doesn't really fit with the flow of the album somehow whereas Seamus kinda does (for the reasons I've stated before).
It's still an ok song though imo, poor lyrics aside.

Basically, San Tropez is just unnecessary.
|
| |
Yeah they could have just left it off, the album would still be over 40 minutes long.

It would be a 4.5 for me if they had left it off, still couldn't bring myself to 5 it
I've never been able to get into A Pillow of Winds for whatever reason

Really? I love that song, Gilmour's vocals are great and it provides such a great contrast to the intensity of One of These Days.
