Agreed YoYo, I do like Vera though... and yes I think the drums are mixed strangely, they sound intrusive (especially on tracks like the opener with those countless fills)

I really like the groove on Happiest Days Of Our Lives, that's really the only place they stand out to me.

Wright's contributions are underrated here. Tracks like The Thin Ice (my personal favorite) would be nothing without him.

Yeah Happiest Days Of Our Lives is awesome, kinda sounds like Primus (or vice versa) towards the end

All of those songs you named fit into the film and live performance so well though. I couldn't imagine taking any tracks from this really.

Even the ones I'm bored of hearing.

I had this at 4.5 until last summer when my gf and I saw this performed live. People were in tears.

There were much older folks describing it as the best night of their lives.

I have to 5 this record.

I think if people watched the movie they would perceive the music better.

It isn't his extramusical stuff that annoys me, why would I care? It is his songwriting and his way of singing, on this album at least it drives me crazy

Roger Waters is a genius and gets more shit than the rest of the band for no reason. he's responsible for the best music, lyrics and direction they ever had imo.

Because according to him, Roger Waters is solely responsible for the best music they ever had, a statement to which I think is humorous because Waters' defiant, uncompromising ego led to some of their most awful work while they were still a complete band. Opinions man, holy fucking shit!

Look at it this way: user A said something to which user B thought was funny because user B considers user A's claim to be hyperbolic nonsense. User C questions user B's justification, to which user B offers it readily and now user B awaits further cross examination.
