Well, Opeth happens to be my favorite band and the songwriting on their debut was already good, but far, far away from the heights they have reached and kept afterwards. Mastering and Production though, well, ended kind of terrible here and - thank God - never again. So I tend to a 2.5 or 3.0 out of 5.
Addition: Of course this sounds funny, but when I review Opeth Albums on a general scale, of course there will be nothing "intersubjective" or objective anymore about, so I prefer to use an own "Opeth scale" and there are two studio albums who stay behind all others.
