Good album and good review. Managed to read it all the way through.
Bought this yesterday and have listened to it a fair few few times already.
I'd already heard Bloodmeat and thought it was great, and the whole album doesn't let down.

Am I the only one that thinks The Dissentience s one of the weakest tracks on the album? I love the part where Rody growls about a minute into it, and the ending is awesome, but it just doesn't stand out as much to me.

Spoils and The Dissentience are easily, in my opinion, the weakest tracks on the album. Goddess Bound, Wretch, and Palms Read are stunning

I met a guitarist today and jammed with him. His favorite band is Lamb of God. We get in the car and I play Fortress for him. He says the guitarists for Lamb of God are better than PTH. I lol'ed in my head.
