And we accept that. I was just curious, becaue I didn't remember you rated this only to 3.5.
But I love it, and in my opinion Eos, Solutide and What Happened? are all masterpieces, just as the album itself.

there's just something about how the album sits in this weird area between ambient and, and i guess, the wars of the roses rock version of ulver. i just want there to be more structure to the album, which is why solitude is my favorite track here, because it's an actual, tangible, you-can-grasp-it track, whereas the rest is very wishwashy and meandering. it bums me out because as i said the actual sound here is so perfect, the soundscapes to this album are top tier ulver magic

Fair enough. I get that this could put some people off. For me it is exactly that quality that made this album special. Remember listening to this album at 2:00am on a school trip when laying awake in bed and being completely hypnotized by it.

This is far better listening to it through a good pair of headphones. You feel like surfing the soundscapes.

far as production goes, i think strangely the childhood's end album is their best

this album reminds me of Wardruna in a way, both have ritualistic sort of ''earthy'' sounds on them.
