Yeah, I feel like there's a phenomenon on Sput known as the "polarizing acclaimed" album. An album that is generally praised to high heaven, but has an extremely vocal minority of detractors that makes the avg seem like it should be lower than it is. The Sound of Perseverance is another record that immediately comes to mind in that regard, as well as And Justice for All

speaking of emim you ever listen to prayer for cleansing? btbam predecessor that's raw af heavy melodic metalcore. you prob have but not in your ratings.
and yeah koris totally agreed on that. i still think it's such a unique and phenomenal album, hasn't been done before or since. this was such a massive album for me into listening to more challenging and different stuff.
