I have listened to this album about 10 times now.

Lateralus was brilliant.

Anima was brilliant but sometimes I can’t do that one. Didn’t have that Lateralus replay ability imo.

Even Undertow and 10,000 had great songs.

I can’t even get into one song on this album. Not one.

Maynard sounds like he’s singing from 10,000 feet away and with an auto-tune to boot. Plus the bass isn’t iconic as it always was. The guitar from Adam Jones is on par; no doubt.

But this sounds less like a Tool record and more like a Puscifer/APC hybrid with some Tool elements.

All three I love, btw. But what is this? I keep trying and can’t get into anything on this album at all.

Probably they begun the show with the encore and you didn't notice.

The album is full of classics. Pneuma, invencible, descending or 7empest could have been on lateralus or 10k days.

Pneuma is a rip of and upgrade on Schism so in that sense could defs have been on Lat. Maybe if they cut 7 minutes off Tempest it'd have been a less embarrassing intense track than Ticks and Leeches too...

“Pneuma is a rip of and upgrade on Schism”

Sounds like Schism if they played it while falling in quicksand but somehow got out mid performance and performed a “can’t believe we survived that” improv but then had a whoopsie and fell back in.

It's brave to just waltz out and say you can't hear a difference between two songs, like the band is to blame.

That is not quite how it works.

Pneuma is fucking awesome. Descending and Invincible are best here though.
