i mainly think its weird on the industry's part because a) kendrick is gonna ride this success through 2025 and go into hiding for a couple years like he always does, and if heart pt6 and his interviews are anything to go by... potentially going into mogul mode.



and b) i'm growing increasingly weary drake ever fully recovers from this as it seems he's largely being hung out to dry



seems like they're cashing in short term gains (kendrick) at the expense of what always was and what'd most likely continue to be the financially stronger long term option (drake). that is unless they just straight up believe those days are over for drake

No Face still did some impressive numbers given the fact that it wasn't really pushed as a mainstream song.



We don't really know the extent of the fallout yet given that Drake hasn't really "tried" so we'll see how this new $$$4u project goes.



I think he'll be fine though. He's a rapper hitting the age 40 cliff so he's gonna decline either way. Do I think that there are a ton of people in showbiz who want to see his downfall? Absolutely. Do I think there's a conspiracy against him? Nah.



That being said, I would love to see him destroyed. I do think he's at minimum a creep and his music has been ass for years

kendrick really stopped trying on the second half of this eh? 3 pretty terrible songs and two alright ones. first half was so good. wacced out murals and reincarnated are classic kendrick. luther is a great pop song as well. such a shame he's still got that in him but just would rather make decent commercial rap.
