Not weird. Different places have different musicians with different ideas/backgrounds. If a band from Africa eventually member swapped to the point where it was all Europeans, would you feel the same way?

The two main guys that have been around since like 1994-1995 are Swedish and have clearly been the main songwriters for a long time so who cares who they hire

My impostor syndrome would render me non-functional if I was Bjorn. Every time I play a solo the ex-Megadeth guitarist would be judging me and picking apart every imperfection behind his laid-back smile.

I really hope Chris Broderick stays in the band and not leave immediately like Christopher Amott in Dark Tranquillity. He absolutely kills it here. Easily the bands best soloing since Clayman.

Hawks gets it, once again. Don't forget to put your crown on, king.

Anders is awesome on this album.

On Come Clarity he sounds like shit, that's the main reason why I prefer this one.

Nah, Anders cleans can be rough at times but his screams are killer on CC.

That's the point. I'm fine with the screams, but the cleans' execution and production begs for a rerecording (especially Dead End, it has the worst chorus on the entire record).

Dead End slaps hard. The track I think falters from the cleans is definitely the title track. Its so whiny.

MOST of Dead End slaps hard, could have been even more of a highlight if not for the cleans in the chorus. Anders could have just resorted to constant screaming on that one and prob sound better. But that's the problem in most tracks, except Leeches and Crawl Through Knives.

I don't mind his cleans too much in CC. They sometimes gets grating and overdramatic but it's not the worst. It's on ASOP that they started becoming insufferable, and on SOAPF they somehow got even worse

The whole point of that album was being heart-bleeding dramatic though lol. Look at the cover and lyrics.
