Album gets undeserved hate, overall solid. Cypher is probably the best song they've put out.

Loving the Node re-recording. The only thing I was really on the fence about was the significant shift in the tone of the bass. I loved the syrupy bass tone of the original mix and the more crunchy tone was initially jarring and kind of unwelcome. That said, it's growing on me after a few spins and I can see why they changed it. It was a significant contributor to the muddy original mix. The vox on the re-recording are a vast improvement from what is clearly a far more confident Marcus. The only vox changes I didn't care for is on Impulse. I like the new electronic elements and the re-balance. Trying to bring them forward any further would compress the shit out of the sound imo. Overall it's an improvement to what was previously my second favorite Northlane album. I wish they would've included a re-recording of the Aspire cover from the Delux edition.

I mean, as long as Fish stays out of the writing room it *might* work. Maybe Mick Gordon will cancel it out.
