i think its like a 3/5 track but yeah
jammed this yesterday and the difference felt particularly staggering. lord what a glorious album this is. everything i could possibly want in a modern erra release

"I honestly thought ERRA had more monthly listeners on spotify by now, considering Currents has 1 mil, and a bunch of other core bands too, 380k seems really low"
i want to say they had roughly 500k when the s/t deluxe dropped. i mostly remember because i was kinda shocked they had more than periphery when periphery easily seems like the "bigger" band. think those numbers can wax and wane a lot depending on if an artist has new music or not

jts cleans are very hit and miss. sounds great on house of glass, shadow autonomous and light my way but bad on this and pull from the ghost (granted his melodies are wack on those songs so thatll do it lol)
but yeah to claim he hasnt varied his screams up since drift is absurd lmao

I think JT sounds fine
As a side note, with JT doing more cleans I wanna hear Jesse do some yells again post haste

imagine a scorpion hymn type jam where jt is trading off with jesse yelling. would be nuts

new song is definitely generic for them and I was initially underwhelmed but it's grown on me a ton and now I love it? same happened with Pull from the Ghost. this band has given me stockholm syndrome in multiple ways I guess. I'm just an ERRA bitch now

i am pretty surprised by my lack of enthusiasm because i even really like a lot of this bands more polarizing material. i am such an erra bitch. this is one of like four erra songs i dont particularly dig
i can kinda see why it works for people tho since jts harshes are at the top of its game and its prod is incredible. i also dont really agree w the critique that jesse sounds shot. dude sounds fine to me

I feel you. it is kinda missing that ERRA melodic sparkle. the chorus hook finally clicked with me after like a half dozen listens, but it's still not their best work by any means. and yeah, Jesse's voice sounds great. I dig him going lower register, it's just the melodies/arrangement that feel generic by their standards

yeah i just dont think singing the same three notes over again in each section of the song suits any part of his range well its so shockingly boring from him since this has some of the best vocal writing ive ever heard
