I can't wait to move to NYC and hopefully have some better gym options. My current one is mostly middle aged folk on treadmills so there's always Bon Jovi and other shit radio rock playing :/

Wait, you don't bring your ipod to the gym? That's the only way I can work out.

Yeah I've turned away from the gym before after parking when I realized I forgot my headphones lol. But the music playing kinda creates a gym vibe ya know. And Kesha/Bon Jovi isn't gonna create the vibe I'm looking for. I also always train with my bud so our headphones aren't in all the time.

I've definitely driven home before if I didn't have my ipod lol I can't lift to pop music or the sounds of people grunting. It makes me uncomfortable. To me, going to the gym without my ipod is basically like going swimming with a wintercoat on. I can't do it.

And I understand what you're saying, but vibe or no vibe I need my personal music at the gym.

Oh, I can't work out with anyone anymore. I used to go with my friends, and up until recently with my brother but for me going to the gym is my therapy. I need to get in my intense zone, listen to music/lift and then I'm much more at ease when it's done. I even fucking hate when I run into people who stop to say hi - definitely my most anti-social hour of every day lol

Do you guys prefer going solo or with a bro? I feel like my progress has gone up considerably after having a consistent gym partna

I find it hard to exercise without my headphones, usually something high-speed.

I dunno, when I'm with my brother or my friends I want to laugh and hang out. I just can't get into that mindset of me wanting to lift that intensely.

That answers my question lol. I feel you, I just think I can push myself harder with someone else there. Also they help with spots and form checks which is essential for the compounds

I'm enjoying this a lot more today not listening to it dead tired. Might bump. Low Feels, Surrogate, and Honeysuckle are up there with the best songs these guys have done.
