this album has become very difficult to listen to. my mother was diagnosed with alzheimer's last year. the specific condition is of course wildly different, but the prevailing theme of reflecting on wishing things were different and not knowing the time you had left still ring true. i really struggle to get through Skyscraper

My mother is still alive but thinking about her death kills me and this album reminds me that it’s going to happen eventually.



I’ve lost dear friends, family that I love, but it all comes back to my mom. She’s not even gone and this album is still devastating for me
