All 3. Tend not to buy vinyl as much as my player is at my brothers house as we split paying for it.
Anyone got any rare vinyl? I've one of 200 copies of the SYL splatter set and some Sabbat (japan) which are limited to about 300 or so.

I wish. Though I'd like to think some of my Vinyls will be considered rare some years from now.
I'm afraid to open them honestly.
Might get the vinyl for this still debating.

Mine are all opened but we use plastic protective sleeves on them all. Really regret passing up on the moonsorrow box set blood music put out. Too slow to get into them, derp.
I initially had just the CD from the earache bunduru but I got the vinyl too, basically so my brother can listen to it.

I somehow didn't even find out about that set till after they were all gone *mega derp.
Moonsorrow rules yeah.
And that's cool that you and your brother like the same music =D

They've an emperor boxset too, pretty sweet, only a measly 700 euros. Not going for it though. They sold the NeO records from there. I've both on vinyl.
Yes he listen to a wider range than me. I'm so kvlt

So, this is album is really good, excellent even, but it's definitely not the best thrash album ever...I think it's just been so long since people heard a good thrash album that this one just seems like a masterpiece. The conceptual approach is cool, the sheer technicality and speed of some passages is impressive, and I'd even go so far as to say it may be the best thrash record of this decade, but there have been plenty of better records in the genre.

NeO rules.
I think the general consensus is pretty in line with what you're saying though Jason.

"Why don’t we just kill you now and put this all to rest?"
Dunno why but I really enjoy the way David says rest. Random, yes.

Yeah, like I said there's a few moments where the vocals stand out as excellent, that's one of them.

I'm not very versed in thrash so I don't know that I'll be able to fully appreciate this, but I really like LCD so far.

Not being versed in thrash shouldn't affect your appreciation of this, if you like it, you like it.

Well that's not exactly what I meant. I don't know what makes a great thrash album from a good one or ins and outs like that. But I should find something here to enjoy.

Necro's point still stands though. In the end it really doesn't matter how good this is compared to other thrash albums. It's either good (to you) or not.
I mean I kinda get what you're saying but subgenres are annoying as fuck. They're honestly more of a curse than a blessing on metal.

Yep I could be a genre arsehole and say vektor are a technical thrash metal band. By all means they are but it does get annoying when so many labels are thrown around.

that's why it helps to know how and when to apply such labels cuz knowledge is power for not repeating history, or repeating already laid groundwork from older music.

I mean yeah, if I like it, I like it. But I probably can't fully appreciate it to the same degree that you guys can, simply because you all have a much better idea of what's going on. Idk, I don't know how to put it.

that's a proper feeling but like you know inside, it shouldn't weigh against enjoyment

sub genres are extremely useful for finding a certain sound
don't be one of those people
