going there with a gurl

I saw them in 2011 I believe with A Day to Remember, We Came as Romans and other forgettable acts.
Sucked hard, Oli asked the crowd to crowdsurf up to him and give him a high five, instead he got pelted with shoes

Well, I've seen them now. It was better than expected, but I didn't expect anything in the first place. They know how to put on a show and their music is just well made for jumping around due to its style, so that's not a great achievement, but was fun at times. Apart from that it was pretty average. You could barely hear Sykes "sing". Maybe they mixed the sound like that on purpose to hide his disability. As usual he let the crowd sing at least 50% of the songs. Also I got the feeling that he used playback on some sections (e.g. chorus of Sleepwalking) but I'm not sure about that since you couldn't hear him that clearly anyway. They played Chelsea Smile and Blessed With A Cruse, the rest was from Sempiternal and Spirit. Really wanted to hear Anthem, Crucify Me or something else from Hell. Whatever. It was okay, but far away from the perfection I witnessed at the Brand New gig couple of months ago.

Seeing them in January... Expecting Oli to only sing half the words. Ironically, I stumbled upon my Soundwave 2011 list the other day, which noted that Oli was side of stage watching 30StM, where Leto was singing less than half the words. Conclusion: It's also the Oscar winner's fault.
British rockers Bring Me The Horizon go for the jugular on their 5th LP 'That's the Spirit' & come out with the most anthemic release of 2015. The quintet's most accessible album, it is unabashed in its targeting of a larger audience. Sounding like a hybrid of Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars & LostProphets, the odd cringeworthy moment still exists, but there's also a multitude of shout out loud choruses that could see the band heading for stadiums. The electronica of Jordan Fish (who also produced) continues to play a prominent role, most notably on the massive sounding 'Throne'; a genuine song of the year contender! Recommended Tracks: Throne, Drown, True Friends & Avalanche.

'Throne' and 'Follow You' are both great
This is so much better than most here will admit

Have to agree, and it's good to see someone else who enjoys "Follow You" more than most tracks here.

Holy shit, they have turned into 30 Seconds to Mars. The recently released video for 'True Friends' goes for nearly 8 minutes & has sub-titles. Haha.

they really need to stop trying to be other bands. I have no problem with their influences for the most part but now they're just straight up ripping them off.

Give me a break with "trying to be other bands". This album sounds nothing like other bands, just a fresh new sound for BMTH. It's a great record, and just because it's softer and has less screaming and is different, it's construed as "trying to sound like other bands" or "sellout" or "not as good". Nothing ever good comes out of being a music snob. It's a very complex, intelligent, incredibly produced, written, mixed, and engineered album. People just like to say they dislike it..just to say they dislike it. It's probably, I mean, most likely, their best work to date. Face the fact that just because it's different..it can still be great...which it is. Proud of them.

I can't really compare this to other bands, only throne sounds like LP's faint, i think it's still pretty original
