Yeah I gotta jam that more though - I listened to it once or twice but I didn't fully absorb it because Ulcerate is so goddamn fucking dense lol

Wait wait wait.......WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lucca what is going on? Only jammed EIF, the best dm album ever made, ONCE???

It is maybe the most dense record I've ever heard. Literally took a decade to properly grow on me but now it's my favorite album.
This is more experimental/avant garde, but more immediate in a way in that it actually probably takes fewer listens to properly digest

Hahaha, well I just arrived at the gym, so I'll jam it now during chest/tri day

I wish I understood Ulcerate. They kinda bore me sadly.

Took a while but loved em. Now I just really like em (tbc), but I did tire of their sound a little (especially the prod in many cases). Round three should be interesting

EIF is just the most massive album ever made. That album completely changed the game of dm at the time and it had a lasting effect that influenced so many bands you hear in dm today. Timeless classic.

Agreed and even without the influence it just fucking rules so damn hard. Every second of the album is perfection

Idk what this one was missing but the 2nd LP is just more MORE, idk. Love this band though, would kill to see them before I croak.

III is def more avant-garde. This one at least kinda resembles dm. Maybe that's why I prefer it
