How can you say that about any band that took the time to learn their instruments at a young age,
practice and play for years on end, and then painstakingly record an album of original material
until they were satisfied with the end results?

look the word pretentious to describe anything artistic is just one of the most bogus fuckin vacuous words to use to describe shit. i mean jeez come up with something creative or at least honest, i'd rather hear "this song is boring as queef" than "pretentious."
