The Seer and To Be Kind are both top tier albums, but (for me) this one wins by a hair.

This and My Father are better than The Seer

This is the first time I've listened to it since release. I'm not exactly initiated in Swans but I have to say that this has more varied instrumentation than I remember. I'm pleasantly surprised.

There's so many good tracks on this record. It deserves all the praise it gets.

It's this one. The Seer meanders a little bit too much. Give My Father... a try if you haven't yet. It's like a short version of The Seer.

This is just missing the clear thematic direction that The Seer has

They sound nothing alike iirc
They're the closest to each other in this discog.

OK, I remembered when this thing started wearing on my nerves a bit. The beginning of Bring the Sun.

Ye this album can drag a lot. Basically the entirety of Toussaint and Some Things We Do could be cut imo

This record will never get old.
