I have this tendancy towards Gutted due to its familiarity with

House of the Rising Sun

Extant, really? It's nice, but hardly a standout.

@johnny: Disagreed entirely, incredible intro that works perfectly. Beautiful imagery in the lyrics, rather subdued musically compared to the bombast of the rest of the album, letting the sombre tone rule the track until Jerry (the harsh vocalist, I think that's his name) comes in with that awesome duel vocal. So sleak and well done, plus that solo is my favorite on the album.

Well put, it's certainly awesome - I just think the album has some better moments, but I get the appeal

Nah, on the album credits (on cd and vinyl since I have both haha) he's the only male vocalist besides Adam Fisher on Chicago Typewriter. The only other time I recall there's another male vocalist in trophy scars albums after Alligator. Alligators is that a former member did some backing vocals on Bad Dreams.

Incredible record, went to their album release show for this record and the songs translate so well to a live setting.
