Indeed haha. Still one of my favorite songs ever obviously, the way the bass under the guitar solo is almost a solo in itself melted my brain first time I noticed it

Unpopular opinion, Rush only peaked when they started writing 4-minute radio songs.

"problem" with Rush is that both in the long-form prog and in the poppy songs they never really dumbed themselves down so nobody will ever agree on a "peak" if we aren't speaking of ~strictly oBjEcTiVe bs~ haha in which case then ofc it'd be hard to deny Hemispheres' massive dong. But at the same time the post-MP stuff explores a whole other galaxy emotionally while still maintaining the level of musicianship. Best band ever basically.
also hell yeah Titan mate Available Light would be in my top 10 too

Agreed hard. I just like them the most when they were writing concise and catchy rock songs without many concessions about the underlying oddness and intricacy of the music.

Both eras rule and, even I prefer their synth period from the first half of the 80's, I can totally why somebody would prefer the 70's style
