Finally listening to this... I appreciate that it mostly sounds different than Loveless, but it feels like the band just went like, “Hey let’s slap a bunch of unfinished experiments together and call it an album.” Hope it’ll grow on me but first impressions are very disappointing.

Maybe I just haven’t absorbed it yet but seriously on first listen this seemed like one of the messiest things I’ve ever heard, the production/mixing is awful, and the songs are boring af. A far cry from the sonic perfection of Loveless.
