this is one of those albums where your rating is how much i like you/5

lol agreed. except fourth, who only 4'd but is undoubtedly the homie. and robert is okay too even if he doesn't like it. when i meet people irl who listen to MAz there is an instant bond tho for sure.

just keep pretending, Eric... see? it's all for the best...

i gave a quick listen to all of the above and they were all top notch, 'conversations' probably being my favorite pick of the bunch

looking forward to whatever's next from these dudes~!

they have definitely matured. the inconsistent quality of the songs on this is pretty undeniable but i value the fact they aren't afraid to trust their instincts and rap over a beat like "vegetables" deliver lines like "i know y'all gon let me do meeeeeee" if they want to. this album definitely feels like they were still trying to figure out where they could go with their sound, and sometimes they wander astray a little. i just think it's fucking awesome to hear them do that, their enthusiasm is infectious. you can literally hear squadda smiling on most of this. you're right, it's inconsistent, but it feels so genuine i don't care.

i understand and respect that. i think they're increasingly capable as rappers and a more 'pure' 5/5 album could really happen for them sometime soon. it's been awesome to see them grow.

widespread love is long overdue for them, 808s 3 might make it happen.

i have no idea how many times i've listened to shit in my car but either MAz or danny brown would probably be my top artist.
