The Beginning and the End is such a beauty, as well as Untouchable (both parts) and The Storm. I mean, as always with Anathema, it's impossible to single out the best song.

It is, but only by a small margin if you ask me. Weather Systems tends to be relentless in its grandiosity but sometimes that's what you look for in music and then it's great.

I listened to this album at the right moment in time, and that's probably why I enjoyed it more than any other Anathema album

I agree, but I think the lack of variety to a certain extent is this album's weakness. Most songs have a similar structure. But I enjoy them regardless

Yeah, by the time The Beginning or Lost Child come on, the same formula can start to grow tiresome, although it's not enough to derail any of these songs. And yeah, I agree with you that The Beginning is a fantastic song.
