this just might be the best hip hop album since outkast's aquemini, from the production to the guest artist this is a classic solid from every angle.

"kanye is talented but has never been real hip hop." that's just a dumb comment.i lost hope in hip hop/rap of 00's till k-yeezy came around like it or not he's the future of hip hop/rap.

I hate agreeing with joesmoe cause he sucks. But there is really no one else out there other than Big
Boi keeping rap from complete suck in the mainstream.

a tribe called quest and the pharcyde represented what hip hop is through out the early 90's and inspired most people and artist who know what hip hop is, they are not relevant in the 00's but what mainstream hip hop/rap artist is with exception for a very few. cudi & wiz khalifa are very solid but have something missing and i really can't get into them don't get me started on drake he is a joke and is a perfect example of what is wrong with hip hop today (this is all my opinion)

If it was that good wouldn't you have it rated as a 5?
since when is the logical conclusion of all the metacritic ratings being positive that you must deem the album as "classic"?

Drake is actually a really talented lyricist and a lot of the hate against him is typical predictable middle school-esque raging against all that is too popular and too mainstream. Drake's mistakes are being overexposed and making too many mediocre pop songs for the radio.
If anyone followed him from his first mixtape ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, released in 2006, they would know that he is a very skillful rapper, but i believe he made a mistake signing to Young Money... because of the people that he surrounded himself around, it's almost as if he was forced to downgrade the quality and potency of his rhymes. I hope that he goes back to what he was so hungry to do 4 years ago. What happened with Drake is what happened to a lot of rappers they see and get more money and success than they have ever gotten use to, and making quality art takes a backseat as they aim to get richer.
Anyhow. I don't mean to write a "novel" but I cringe when I hear people say Drake is what's wrong with hip-hop, especially from people that don't know much about hip-hop or its history.
If you want to sacepgoat anyone. Look at Soulja Boi and Wocka Flocka Flame. THAT is what is wrong with hip-hop today.

rebel you're too smart of a poster to waste your time here

@Enotron - It wasn't because all the reviews were positive. It was because a guy who rated the album a 9/10 said the album deserves it's 10/10 on metacritic. It was more of a troll statement anyways...
