Their best is The Lonesome Crowded West in my opinion, though this one has stellar tracks

the sort of meandering nature of long drive and tlcw adds to their charm

they had to make things more concise here as its their major record label debut

Most of their longer songs are the best: Stars are Projectors, Edit the Sad Parts, Night on the Sun, Spitting Venom, Teeth Like God's Shoeshine etc.

1st half is kinda boring to me. other than 3rd Planet and A Different City nothing is really appealing to me. it's starting to pick back up with Alone Down There though. The Stars are Projectors is incredible

stars are projectors is great. ive always thought the first four tracks kinda introduce you to the album safely, then tiny cities punches you in the face and it all builds to stars are projectors.

tiny cities is a classic track imo

Perfect Disguise, Tiny Cities, and The Cold Part are all pretty boring imo
