Don't worry, I caught your drift. So, did you get this at the store? or at the booth at one of their venues?
lol, came out half a month ago and already fifty-some pages of discussion ^_^

I'll be conducting Option Paralysis digipack modification classes if you wish to attend.
Nah just got it at the store, but I'll be seeing Dillinger in May (in Australia).
Album is so deserving of discussion, it rocks the boat so hard.

funny thing is, while we're talking about this I'm falling asleep to Joe Satriani. There's just no comparison (well... there probably are) to the amount of energy these guys put in their music and bring to a live show; definitely look forward to that Concert!

Haha, go Satch! So they're brilliant live? This Sydney show will break my DEP virginity.
I missed out on seeing Converge recently, because all my friends like pussy music. Gutted.

Black Bubblegum and 43% burnt were amazing live. I also especially loved "When Good Dogs Do Bad Things".
As for your friends. It really sucks when your friends are great people, but when it comes to music they are completely and utterly hopeless.

Gold teeth on a bum appealed to me as the best song after first listen of the album. But now that ive played it about 10 times through, id say widower & farewell mona lisa. And holy sh*t , "room full of eyes" is amazing.

I still can't decide on my favorite. Room Full of Eyes is amazing, you're right.
Farewell Mona Lisa could win for me, I guess.

Widower is amazing in the context of the album, F**king Phenomenal!!! Live? Not so much.

Have they been playing Widower live? I hope they play a fair bit of older stuff live when I see them, that's what I'll be keenest for.

They played it when I went (day the album dropped), and it stunk. They played a nice mix of everything. If I was to say how much what they played was, I'd probably have to say:
30% Miss Machine
25% Option Paralysis
15% Irony is a Dead Scene
15% Ire Works
15% Calculating Infinity

Ah okay, sweet. Thanks.
I still prefer Miss Machine to their others, so I'd probably go nuts with that kind of song balance.

First listen was good. Nothing more. I had the chance to talk to their lead guitar player after a show, and he was damn cool.
As with these prog-records they take time to grow on me, which I am going to give Option Paralysis.

You talked to their lead guitar player?

Still haven't decided how to rate this. Prob between a 4.0 and 4.5. I was unsure at first, but I've been going back for repeat listens, which is normally a good sign.
