Is it me or Jerry doesn't allow William to write lyrics?

To explain my 5's;

I don't really give af about ratings, so with me it's either "rules" or "sucks"
don't even know why I rated stuff between 5 and 1 tbh :/
Don't feel like overthinking my rating system

Album is their third best behind Dirt and Jar of Flies. Acid Bubble and Private Hell are just as good as their best Layne material. Stoked for the new record.

Agreed. This would be their best album if Dirt and Jar didn't exist.

It's almost like I'm listening to an completely different album than some of you guys. Apart from Dinosaurs this is their weakest effort by far for me. Zero replay value. And that the average rating for this is the same as for the s/t goes totally beyond my understanding, I just don't get it, despite my love for the band as a whole.

This is one of the best albums I've ever heard tbh. The 3 ballads alone make this album a classic. Every song on this thing gives me pure chills. The ballads, the heavy dirty riffs, the throwback AiC songs... this shit is puurrrrrrfect, almost too good to be real. Their last album completely flopped for me though.

Why does no one ever mention Last of My Kind in the best tracks for this? Song riffs so hard.

It's a great track but it doesn't even crack top 5 on the album for me though.

Eh I disagree but there's no bad tracks on here really.

Check My Brain, Last of My Kind, A Looking In View, t/t and Your Decision have always stood out.

I love Last of My Kind but it's a bit...conventional. It riffs hard as fuck tho. Honestly, the only song on this that never grew on me was Acid Bubble, but other people seem to love it so whatevs. Probably tied for third best AiC for me.

Oh yeah, its very streamlined but that doesn't mean the riffs don't hit hard.

William and Jerry are fantastic vocally here too, Duvall was a great pick to replace Layne.

I say 'replace' but he really is irreplaceable.

I think Last of My Kind was the first proper introduction to DuVall on the album. I remember hearing it for the first time and thinking that he was indeed worthy of carrying Layne's legacy.

Not only is he technically a great singer, he evokes that classic AiC mood.

Dude apparently came up in the hardcore scene. I've seen videos of him doing legit screams live. But he has a shit ton of character to his voice. Not just another generic modern rock singer.
