"ok but I wasn't talking about the beats I was talking about his style of rap and literally every 90s street rapper would get on their knees and kiss G Rap's ring if you asked them who their biggest influence was"
ok but none of this has anything to do with what i was saying so thats fine

"Lmao, I haven't heard a full Kool G. Rap project."
Didn't you just tell me earlier that I don't know shit about hip hop yet you haven't even listened to a G Rap album? Omegalul

Trying to help the site one review at a time but we need more lol u guys need to as well

Really on the East Coast production wise I feel like 95 was around the time it really started coming together for my ears. Then the West Coast is a whole different ball game with Dre, Phone Beta, Quik, etc... And the South with Paul & Juicy, Zirk, Sound, Screw, etc. Can't downplay BDP with their early stuff either and the effect that had though. I love all of it for different reasons really

I'll get on writing some hip hop reviews. Been needing to do it anyway. I just get lazy because my metal reviews normally end up with literally nobody jamming the album and that's pretty discouraging since I write them for people to check stuff out and the metal community here is huge lol.

Yeah my reviews aren’t that great but we need threads to post lyrics in lol. Like I know no one is gonna check or really discuss that full blooded album but now I’ve got a place to drop bars in now and then

Honestly apart from Coming out Hard I don't feel like I'm the guy to write an 8 Ball and MJG review. I love Suave House roster but my taste leans a lot more towards the darker side of things when it come to stuff from Memphis. I'll probably start off with some West Coast albums I think are really underrated and try to put some attention on some local classics and see if I can get anyone to jam them

Coming out hard and Top of the World are both some of my favorites as you can see by looking at my list. Whether you dig them or not they are an essential listen and should have a review.

Man Drift I don't know why but I had no idea you do reviews. You've reviewed some dope shit too like that Big Moe and those two Daz albums. I'll have to jam the Full Blooded. Haven't heard that one yet. I need to start paying attention to the recent reviews and list sections. I normally just check new comments on threads I'm already in lol

I just started doing more reviews last month. Trying to do one every Friday but I might miss a few.
Full Blooded is really for the hardcore no limit fans but the beats are dope. Classic beats by the pound material
Comin Out Hard def needs a review. I need to listen to them more. Think no more glory also needs one that albums so dope too

I'd definitely review some Tommy. Might actually start writing something up for him tomorrow. I got to talk to him for quite awhile at on one of his shows. Was shocked how short he was. He was a real cool dude though. He's actually wished me a happy birthday on facebook before lol
|

I dig the No Limit stuff quite a bit. They just dropped so much shit when they were on top that it's hard to go through all of it. The beats definitely always make the trunk rattle though. I'll jam it and keep an eye out on Fridays from now on

I was jamming Runnin' and Gunnin' the other day and thinking about reviewing it myself. Definitely still do some Tommy Wright though. I'm so lazy, I may never get around to it.
"You won't be able to wiggle yourself out of this one" lmao Oh wow, you can prove you've heard Kool G Rap, but you think RTJ4 is the 10th best hip hop record of ALL TIME. What a fucking master.
"He's actually wished me a happy birthday on facebook before lol" Gosh, what a sweet man. I met him and Lil Ugly Mane after a gig in Memphis. Star struck af. Both were nice af but especially Tommy.

It was cool as hell. Audience was all hipster kids too and he pulled this kid on stage that was claiming to be a big fan for the song Runnin n Gunnin. The kid didn't know a single word of the song and I was sad that I didn't take the opportunity to get on stage and kill it word for word with him. Memphis legend for sure.
