i don't think peppers is bad or anything, prob like 3.5 territory. i love lsd and a day in the life especially, i just don't think it's deserving of all its 'greatest album of all time' accolades.

I can get behind that top 3, Gyro.

I suppose most of those accolades come from the influence it made. I'd dare to say it is the band's most influential album even though I don't think it is nowhere near their best

I still think Pepper's influence is overstated in a lot of ways but you could say that a lot of Beatles praise is hyperbolic.

Also I've been digging MMT a lot more lately so it might go up a lot in my ranking

It'd a solid 4, but compared to their psychedelic period (66-67) it's just idk...not nearly as good

Abbey Road might be my fave Beatles. It contains some of their best songs, plus the medley is god.

I've also got a big crush on Revolver and Rubber Soul, for their more direct approach.

After She Came in Through the Bathroom Window ends, the medley goes from amazing to just "good"
