Amber is good in that case because it's more ambient and less glitchy than a lot of their later material. Definitely check Tri Repetae too, and check LP5 if you want a good middle ground between their earlier and later albums. Then again, Autechre's discography is best experienced chronologically, so maybe do that.

I personally find no problem with "Tha"'s length. I also wouldn't call this a purely Ambient album. Excellent review though.
