Trip-Hop is bullshit.
Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky or to narrow it even further down. Dummy, Maxinquaye and a few Massive Attack odds and sods. Massive Attack were the originators of down tempo, sampled beats with a bird warbling over the top.
Media need to label it something seeing as in the mid '90s these artists were the best things around and were receiving awards left right and centre.

Post punk is bullshit.
Joy division, sioux sie and the banshees and talking heads odds and sods. Joy division were the originators of softer atmospheric punk music with spidery guitars and some hippie squawking on top.
Media need to call it something seeing as late 70s these were the best things around.
