legit their worst song on the first four records, but it's funny and the riffs are still good

picking it back up now! stopped after the rust in peace portion, so i've got about half left. he has such an effortlessly funny free flowing voice. very easy to read. so many great stories. the one of him meeting marty and his audition was so good. love how honest he is. kind of dickish at times but hey he kind of earned it lol

Yeah it gives a really candid and fascinating look into his life. The subject of drugs in particular was very eye-opening and cautionary. I couldn't put it down, and of course I was jamming Megadeth the whole time m/

oh yeah it was honestly pretty terrifying how out of control they were, especially gar and poland. just constantly strung out on heroin, dave too but they definitely pushed him further. i like how dave said he figured that was normal for jazz guys lol

kind of shocking poland is still with us

I had to look that up because I was wondering the same thing! Glad he's still around. He and Dave cut it awfully close.

Also RIP Gar m/

he cleaned up and had a solid career.

yes hard rip gar! two unique players. love how in the book dave talks about how they weren't even into metal at all. absolutely here those jazzy influences on the first two albums.
