Imo Brawl was tighter and more polished. The larger appeal to melee was that it was faster paced and the characters weren't as powerful. I generally prefer brawl but I still love them both. Me and my friends have all been playing Melee together since we can't really do shit outside in the winter haha

Idk. I find melee slower for some reason. But I haven't played brawl in forever to properly compare them.

I have 40 days played or more. Played that nonstop several years back. Still come back to it occasionally. Pretty much tied with RE4 for me.

Oh ok. Yea I can assure you that Melee is much faster. I prefer Brawl's characters but the underdog characters like Young Link, Pichu, Dr Mario, and Game and Watch is fucking love in melee.

Pleb I think you're developing a man crush on me.

I love the faster characters. I've gotten pretty great with Pichu. Ganondorf I can't stand cause with

the exception of bowser, I can't hit anyone in time cause he's so fucking slow haha

Melee is objectively faster and better than Brawl. Smash noobs itt. (but I aint hatin! glad we're talking about smash for some reason lol)

Project M combines the best of both worlds. The looks and and character balance of Brawl, but the unbelievably perfect physics and combo ability of melee. It is perfect.

brawl is actually a very technical fighter. i've played in a lot of tournaments at high level and it is ridiculously difficult. 90% of the fights are dodging and looking carefully for openings.

it is technical for sure, that can't be argued. but compared to Melee, it is child's play. It's a completely different game, and Melee is much more technical at high levels.

I love all iterations of smash, just to be clear.

Brawl is all about spacing and timing.

yah, brawl is much more about spatial reasoning where melee is more lightning-fast movements. both technical for different reasons. i'm not nearly as good at melee but i still love it to bits
