the mantle is just perfect imo. this is amazing as well but it lacks the variety that made the mantle one of my favorite metal albums of all time

Yeah me too. For Agalloch standards, Marrow was a disappointment. Hopefully that was just a dip in form m/.

Didnt expect the new album to come out so soon. Thought it would be end of the year.

first half of the album is so good

Second half is better, especially Embers and Melancholy

I'm stumped as to what direction the new album will take, but I'm sure it'll be amazing whatever happens...

guess i need to give it a harder listen, i like the first 3 songs and hallways so much that i end up playing them over and over again
