That song ruled but it needs more shriekz. Her vocals don't really fit with the vibe.

The girl from Oathbreaker does it right.

"doesn't get anywhere near enough love"

4300 ratings and bolded on RYM, it's his most popular album lol. That dude's keeping blackgaze afloat all on his own m/

Oh wait, it's a dude? Vocals sounded feminine to me, guess I'm just deaf

Cool stuff regardless. Distant Travels is dope too

Saw these guys with Coheed a couple nights ago and it was one of the best live performances I've ever seen. I legit almost had tears in my eyes at one point. Absolutely blown away by George's stage presence too.
The downside is the crowd was dead as fuck watching them and I felt bad for the band. They deserved so much more.

that's what happens when your band peaks in 2013 and then the quality of your output falls off a cliff all of a sudden

@LightandGlass I’ll probably hit that tour. Glad you have something positive to say about it. Someone in another thread expressed the opposites sentiment.

I mean if you're standing there lifeless during Dream House and Sunbather then I'd say the issue is you, not the band.
@Feather - I can't imagine anyone having something negative to say about their performance unless they just don't like the genre of music.

they played only new songs and Canary Yellow, very big bummer and I don't blame the crowd not being into it at all lol. Guitars also weren't loud enough so the vox kept dominating, which was weird.

Damn, what show was that? We got Dream House, Sunbather, Canary Yellow, and Mombasa.

i keep trying this record hoping i'll come to a different conclusion but i just immediately switch off when track 4 comes on and it never engages me again. shame cus the first three songs are great.

Ah, that’s too bad, Noctus. If you can find it in yourself, and have never heard it, the last track is the crown jewel here and worth the spin by itself. A perfect combination of brutality and beauty
