Man, i've made this kind of discussion many times through the years and in every applicable way, I just cannot seperate fascists and nazists from their art. Do I say that I can do it for a killer? Yeah, there are times I can. Sometimes killing in certain circumstances doesn't mean a shit, Nazism does always.

Unless the artist in question is actively displaying their dark thoughts/actions through their lyrics, when they have actually been known to have acted upon them. That’s probably a rarity given such things are usually shrouded in mystery to an extent, open to interpretation etc. Then if the vocals aren’t easily deciphered (like in a lot of extreme metal), I could probably forget about that when in the moment.
So yeah I don’t care really, maybe we shouldn’t be actively funding known nazis/murderers/rapists/whatever etc. but if that bothers you just download the shit out of their material instead.

Truth be told, I own quite a few records by artists that are (most likely) scumbags. And the reason for this is, to put it bluntly: selfishness. I like to have a collection and I like to include things that I like well enough to be part of that collection - in a completely egotistical sense.
I can't berate people that steer clear of buying (or even listening to) stuff created by questionable people because in essence they are staying truer to their principles and are showing more power of mind than I do.
