He has never claimed to be the best guitarist of his day and he certainly wasn't, yet he is
definitely one of the best songwriters of that era. The issue with Dave has always been the massive
chip on his shoulder, the attitude. That's what makes him a douchebag in interviews and towards
former band mates.
Still gotta respect the guy though.
