I have 3 albums that could all be my AOTY depending on the day but this is number 1 right now for sure. Gonna be hard to finalize my end of the year list when the time comes lol.

Yeah I’m curious too. Chelsea Wolfe is the only other contender for me atm but I think this beats it

Sry chelsea 🖤

Ulcerate and Bonny Light Horseman are the others. Sumac is up there as well but a tier below the 3 I mentioned. Fuck this year rules.

i listened to artificial bouquet again to see if it has worn off after this album has been on heavy rotation

nope, absolutely still slaps and it's not even the same style as this to begin with. that's more traditional skramz/melodic hardcore where as this is proggy and experimental

I really wanna like Artificial Bouquet more but it's hard for me to distinguish between most of the tracks and the album feels a bit monotonous as a result, even though I acknowledge that the songs are well crafted (Devotion is my fav because it stands out)

Still looking forward to what Frail Body does next. Took these guys over a decade to get to this level. The Frail Body guys are still pretty young I think

that's a good point, it's easy to forget state faults have been around for so long given the gaps between the albums

Tbf this band has always been top tier skramz. This album just makes literally everything look lesser in comparison.

Yeah probably but it’d be tight if it remained the highest rated screamo record of all time on this website lol
