Donald and Kupp were the foundation of that run for sure. And I understand the mentality of trying to chase talent and do a good job deep in the draft, considering that draftees can be wildly hit or miss. But ultimately I agree with you in that it will ultimately peg a team. You can only give so many draft picks away while your team starts to wither.
Additionally my offensive line is composed of people like Bobby Evans who literally DOES NOT BLOCK, which makes the offense look worse than it should imo

Yeah, it's (relatively) revolutionary in the NFL to trade so many futures for proven talent, but it can end up paying off massively if you land the right pieces. It just means that any given competitive window may be shorter than expected.
I feel like the team didn't anticipate the loss of Whitworth to be as damning as it has been. That level of HoF talent + his innate leadership skills are sorely missed.

They really are, I almost want to start a campaign to pull him out of retirement. I feel like McVay is going to try and stage a turnaround on our fortunes but between the o-line, Stafford looking like a husk, and no run game, that will prove extremely difficult

I think it’s kind of messed up that McVay after winning one Super Bowl has been given a pass to go completely all in with the organization and likely retire within 2-3 years leaving a team with no picks and no future (if going by this season)

I mean, it sucks, but that's the natural of football. College is even worse; when a better offer/better life calls, coaches almost always check out the other side of the grass. McVay is probably eying an analyst gig, which means easy, low stress hours compared to the endless grind of coaching.
Would sting to abandon the franchise like that regardless, even with the ring. It'd just leave no road map and cause them to relive the post Greatest Show era, which turned the team into a joke.
Come to think of it, what's good ol Jeff Fisher up to?

Yeah I mean I guess we’ll see on McVay, but just to make things even better, my o-line is so bad that Stafford is in concussion protocol so… not even sure if he’ll play this weekend. Talk about a dive.

Seems pretty late to recognize concussion protocol, but man, the Rams just cannot find any momentum this year.
Then again, this is all on us for betting against Geno Goddamn "Didn't Write Back Tho" Smith.

Geno for MVP dude he looks like a fucking stud.
I love how he’s in the running for Comeback player and he’s like, “tf? I didn’t come back from anything.”

With Allen faltering and Mahomes having two struggle games himself, Hurts is likely the favorite amongst QBs. Geno has played very well, but he'll need some bigger performances to really start to make a case.

I know, I’m being a tad facetious. I just love that he’s come out swinging the whole season and looks great.
I’m a bit wary on the Eagles. A large part of me is like, “They’re amazing” but a small part of me is like, “Will they flame out like the Cards last year?”

Eagles have more depth. The issue with the Cards that year was how top-heavy they were, meaning that a few key injuries easily derailed their season. It also doesn't help that they revolve far too much around Hopkins, who is the only WR Kyler seems to trust and the only one that can consistently perform in the clutch.

Very true. Man Kyler and Kliff sure aren’t doing each other any favors this year…

Lmao kliff comes across as more a League type to me
Like I would know… the last video game I beat was hyper light drifter… which is a great little game btw

Kliff definitely smashes keyboards on the regular, he has the money to afford replacements.
But yeah, Kyler desperately needs better receiving talent and a different coach. I said it before, but the defense was fooled several times by the same plays over and over as if they never prepared for them. Very worrying to see from a professional team.
Also uh, Marcus Mariota is kinda really bad and awful.

You never know. The way this season has gone damn near anything is possible.
Also I totally have a soft spot for Mariota because I like Oregon football but… yeah he’s really not doing too great.

I just want John Wolford to go out and drop like 6 TDs. It won’t happen, but it would make me happy.
