Having the single for this album use the same first two chords in the main progression as the single for the last album was definitely a choice

Honestly disappointed, seems like they’re just riding the wave of Glow On, the structure seems like a weaker version of Mystery, and it honestly would be a b side on Glow On

yeah really strange... play it at 1.25x speed and it basically is mystery more or less. minus the extended intro/outro its almost identical in structure too

don't mind them further exploring the stuff they hinted at on glow on but they're gonna need to try a little harder than this.

I actually quite enjoyed the new track; digging the dreamier direction. Extra stoked because it seems like the transition into the following song is going to be awesome.

Yea new song is cool. I dig the dreamier vibe, but it is kind of a Mystery redux. 14 tracks on the new album so they've def got some tricks up their sleeve

Song is okay but the vocals seem overproduced to me.

Like the new song and the fact that they are exploring this sound more, still a weird choice for a single.

I sincerely thought I had clicked on the wrong track because my thought 30 seconds in was 'I have already heard this one' ... not at all impressed.

Singles are fun, all 3 of them are essentially rewritten songs off this with similar riffs tho

What hardcore band hasn't borrowed or reworked a riff tho?

i think the dilemma here is they sorta graduated from being merely a hardcore band with this album and have sorta inflated audience expectations as a result

i've got buddies who listen to zero hardcore but throw these guys into playlists with nirvana and ratm. they supported blink 182 on their stadium tour. shit they've headlined some of the biggest venues in my area (granted its their hometown).

they hold an entirely different space in the culture now and its kinda in dissonance with who they are as a band/songwriters

They're headlining one of the nights at a music fest here this summer which seemed wild since I don't think I've ever heard them brought up outside of here before.
