myeh I just gave this another shot and it still feels lackluster. Tame Impala hasn't ever really had the strongest lyrics, but here they just feel even more superfluous and fluffy than ever. The vocal melodies are pretty bland across the board too. The instrumentals are the best part but even those lack an identity imo, this record could've been made by plenty of other bands
