Lana and Kacey says enough for me. Ugh, remember when Kacey got number 1 on here last year. And Lana is gonna do it this year. Gag

Lana getting staff #1 would almost be worth it for the backlash

This is my #5 AOTY, but let it plz be #1 here I want drama
|
| |
Dont know why that would stir drama, I'm pretty much expecting it to be top 5 for staff.

The Cult of Luna fans will blow
|

I feel that Kacey has enough wholesome family friendly appeal that getting actively mad about her was always going to seem overblown. Lana has privileged ennui and that's kinda it - much easier to get pissed at
"Throughout, Norman Fucking Rockwell is so apolitical that its lack of politics almost swings back around toward making a social statement by accident. This is music for and about the idle rich, full of lyrics about shiftless days spent dancing, fucking, and getting high in Los Angeles"
This paragraph opening is still the best basis for any take on this album

Feel very torn on this album. It has a great sound and some lovely moments but it's just too over-bloated. There's no way it justifies its overall length or the length of its long cuts. Venice Bitch just drags painfully. If this was a punchy 40 minute album, I'd be onboard.

it might be her. sput crushes phoebe bridgers and julien baker didn’t release this year

Had a dream set in a Witcher-esque small warring states universe where Lana del Rey was the leader of an unsuccessful resistance faction à la Joan of Arc and Ramon was a playable character what does this mean
|

that opening paragraph is a bafflingly wrong take on this album. Maybe her other albums but for this one that statement literally doesn't make any sense, like at all. I can understand if feelings about her previous work color one's feelings about this album but calling this apolitical is proper absurd

did she explicitly say FUCK DRUMPF? no, so it's apolitical ;)
|
| |
strong prediction tho: whatever staff's #1 is, people are going to whine a lot
|
| |
NO whining ! Whiners must be punished !
Just *disappointment*
