I love ambience, there are just things I'd rather listen to for that (even within metal).

Demon, check Slice the Cake - Odyssey next. So progressive it will blow your knickers off.

Seems... divisive? I haven't checked your rating, but I'm going to presume this is a joke and you gave it a big shiny 1/5.

Damn, mission "Lure the Cacodemon into a Polyrhtymcic Disneyland" failed. The misspelled word in the title was deliberate. Wink wink

Kinda strange that you like Core immediatly and that record is also pretty damn proggy, kind of an oxymoron if you ask me

Prog isn't innately bad though, I love Opeth after all (and many others). I guess it depends what elements the 'whole' consists of, there are numerous different things going on and the more of them you like, the better the end result will likely be. Then you have to consider how well integrated all the said elements are.

I'd say this is solid composition-wise, in the sense it has a cohesive sound, but stylistically it doesn't seem like something I will enjoy listening to very much. Spiritual Migration was the other way around, to an extent.

I generally dislike any amalgam of progressive and core, so if a band's sound is geared towards that, then there's zero chance of me getting any enjoyment out of it.

Honestly I really support the decision of having only on the patreon page, I want these guys to make some bank AND make amazing music!

Totally agree. If any band deserves it, it's these guys. I Can't even imagine how amazing it's gonna sound with production like this and with new more focused arrangements/ideas. Soo excited

As much as I adore every single Persefone album, I believe Spiritual is their most divisive. For better or worse, they go all-out on their technicality and grand songwriting. It leads to an experience that, for me, is epic, but can understandably be perceived as muddled to others.
