Yea it did two days ago. I think it's not a stretch to say it's definitely their best since their "classic era". I know personally that I tend to oversell to myself just how great an album is when I find a decent album, then it grows off quickly. But I know that isn't the case here. These songs were great the first time and they just keep getting better the more I listen. Gravity of Discomfort just destroys, same with H@rd3r and Idiosyncrasy. In fact, the final 4 tracks (the final 4 before the very last track which is more like a cooldown/outro) are such a killer combo. Can You Hear Me is the only one that feels a little weaker than the rest, and it's still very good. I wouldn't have even called myself a big Korn fan but this album made me one.
Check it ;)

I'm 100% sure the new one will have some very sweet sections/moments (see Paradigm Shift for the best modern example) but I am also sure it'll have too many arena-ready choruses tbh.

It does have those, but it's not a bad album. Def not as good as this imo

better than paradigm not as good as this

I think I may like Nothing more than both Paradigm and Serenity as it takes the best elements from both, namely Paradigm's quirky songwriting and Serenity's intensity. Wish the structures weren't so rigid but there are indeed great sections (at times even unpredictable-ish) and even the choruses aren't so bad (The Darkness Is Revealing for instance is a total earworm).
tl;dr not the second coming but slaps

This is way better than The Nothing. Production on this is miles ahead of the new album too.
