weird to hear a pup song without any giant fuckin explosions but it's a solid pop track nonetheless. pretty psyched to hear if the rest of the album is this different

Yea those are dope. I think there are subtle differences in production to differenciate this track from their other stuff

yea the contrast sorta boils down to the production, and kinda the arrangement by extension, but i think what little changes they made go a long way towards distinguishing this track from their old stuff. like zack's drums are pounding but the guitars arent goin all out, blasting with overdrive distortion as i would normally expect from pup. plus the beat is super bouncy all the way thru, which isnt textbook pup.

agreed the biggest difference is definitely the production, of which i am not a fan. guitars and vox lack the punch they had in previous records. still a great track though, would kill live.
