^Yup, definitely a solid album. I'd like to see them go full prog with their next release, but I doubt that will happen.

if they did that, they'd pretty much just be BTBAM with a better vocalist

with the exception of the singing I actually agree with that.

lolyes

More interesting and dark than anything they've done since then, more distinct melodies, better vocalist and slightly more raw production. Plus The Seventh Trumpet is their best song.

Honestly I'd say ABR is one of the most consistent metalcore groups around. although I'd still say just about every album they've done is a 3.5/5 but that's still a good score

What, don't be ridiculous.. BtBaM's musical abilities are so above these guys..

They said that "Count it all as Lost" is their most complicate track ever and that they avoid doing it live because it's difficult.. Yeah I'd love to see them covering Parallax, there's more intricate drumming on Obfuscation alone than in their whole discog

They're touring with Good Tiger and I'd say the guys of Good Tiger are all better musicians than the guys in ABR as well.

btbam suffers from really nonsensical songs tho which always held me back a bit with them

I agree that Thrill Seeker is their best. I bought it when it came out in 2005 and it was something new compared to a lot of metalcore from that time. Spun the album constantly. It's probably just nostalgia on my part, but I'll always like that one the most.

band has never been special as far as metalcore goes, the acclaim will always be a mystery to me
