You can't tell me that isn't exactly how Matt sings it

That is definitely made for live settings, because it actually sounded decent live. Studio version still boring and bad

Oh this album definitely rocks live, it's just a shame that there's a couple of real stinkers.

‘You can't tell me that isn't exactly how Matt sings it’
Which is exactly why I hate it. Who does he think he is, fucking George Michael?

And Matt Bellamy is not fucking George Michael.

Matt Bellamy is still one hell of a musician tho
Everybody in the band is, but Matt is just insane

Agreed. He’s a stupidly talented individual. They’re all talented.
But Dig Down just represents an absolute bottom of the barrel moment for Muse.

Their biggest problem now is wearing their influences on their sleeves too much. Muse’s first 4, and even to an extent with The Resistance, sounded like Muse albums because they applied their influences to their own identity. Now they attempt to mimic their influences, and it comes off disingenuous. Matt needs to stop wanting to be Freddie, George Michael, etc and go back to being Matt Bellamy.
As I said before, I think this album was a step in the right direction even if it wasn’t consistent. At least it sounded like Muse wrote these songs and not a Queen cover band.
