I think one of the main problems with this album is that a few of the songs are very similar in terms of arrangements and the use of the heavy/atmospheric dynamic. Nachash, A.M War and The Refusal in particular. Sky Machine aswell to an extent.

They got Jay from tesseract out live to drum with steve on sky machine. Was sweet. AM War and The Refusal deffo get the moshpits goin. Aeons was fuckin huge.
Themata was prob my fave live though. Dat chorus.

Definitely listen to this with high fidelity gear if you have the chance. There are a lot of small details that get lost in the mix on lower-end gear, but they add quite a bit if you can hear them. It does some really interesting things with soundstaging and imaging, in particular.

Eh, I find the mixing still doesn't do it justice. On Aeons in particular, the clean guitar parts just sound muddy and spongy, lacking clarity and character.
