I think I never dug deeper because I kindof hated how the lead singer Davy looked. Effeminate and wimpy looking. Of course this was my late teens/early 20s when we still freely used the word faggot (as did others).

I would say definitely check this album. With the other ones your mileage will vary. Black Sails and AoE are pretty safe bets as well

I mean larkin, i would say this sounds nothing like any of the bands you posted, maaaaaaaayyyyybeeeee a bit like thrice but even that would be a stretch, but i do think this album is, if anything, the easiest place to start with them

I was super into all the above bands in highschool and was also a huge AFI fan so it tracks that you’ll like it.
