Should have been released in 86

Overrated band, overrated release.
The only good thing about this album is Mike Browning's vocals. He is much better than David Vincent who gives a weak, barely passable performance on the first three albums. Vincent then takes a nose dive into the pile of shit called Domination.
This is basically baby dissonant thrash. Slayer circa '91 goes harder than this garbage band.

Interesting to see that "Azagthoth" became "The Ancient Ones" in B.
Browning was just so intense.

This and Altars share a thrashiness that was left behind afterwards.

There's an intensity on here that I def don't get on B, C, and certainly not on D.
|

Thats because its Altars' older brother

The key difference is Browning. When he left and was replaced by Sandoval and Vincent, it marked a major change for the band.

But the change in drummer affected the band's sound. Plus, when Vincent took up the vocals, he added his deep growls to the mix.

Domination is great
